Chatsworth Medi@rt Academy's 3rd year Anniversary!
Dear All,
School of Communication Design is celebrating its 3rd year Anniversary and therefore having special rebates on our Professional Development Programs.
Design Studios - Freehand /Illustrator + Photoshop
This module touches on necessary computer-aided technical skills that allow participants to convert creative thoughts into digital visual form with industry computer software - Freehand / Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
It aims to equip participants with the technical competence to be proficient in applying these computer skills to explore a series of design problems through studio exercises.
At the end of the module, participants will be equipped with fundamental computer knowledge as well as the expert use of computer to aid in their class assignments.
Section 1 : Desktop publishing with Vector Based Software (Macromedia Freehand)
- Understanding Desktop Publishing
- The importance of a design grid
- Understanding of computer terminology
- Necessary tools and commands
- Document planning
- Using photographic in a document
- Layout and design with typographical applications
- Vector illustration and effects
Section 2 : Desktop publishing with Raster Based software ( Adobe Photoshop)
- Understand Photography basics
- The need to contextualize Principles of Design
- Knowledge in imaging specific terminology such as ppi,sampling and etc..
- Necessary tools and commands
- Digital manipulation and enhancement
- Integration with other computer aided applications
The assessment of all learning outcomes for this module is to be achieved through the completion all module research assignments and presentations.
Course duration : 12 weeks, every Wednesday & Friday, 7pm to 10pm
Course Fee : S$833.00
* Rebate fee is valid till end of October 2007.
