The weekend! ;)

The weekend had been a busy but an extremely fun one for me!
It all started on Saturday morning, I woke up very early at six am to accompany my sweetheart and his grandma to the hospital. His grandma had just undergone a cataract operation on one of her eye on last Friday and the following day she needs to go for her eye check up.

While my sweetheart was driving us in the car, his grandma and I chatted. She told me that she can see things much clearer now and I felt very happy for her. Now she will be able to watch tv or see things from far without much difficulties.

The checking up process was a fast one and before we realised it, we were already in the car heading to a food joint to grab something to eat. Eddy's grandma wanted to 'tapao' aka buying food and eating it at home and she told me that if I am free she wants me to come over their place and accompany her/chat with her. I decided to do just that as it is I was very free that day =)

When I reached his place, both his parents were there, this was not the first time I have met his parents but of course, I would have to admit that I was still slightly nervous.(mebbe bcoz normally I would just come down for a short visit or watch movies but this time, it is longer and I am gonna cook in his place):P Both his parents were very friendly and they made me feel very comfortable, especially his father, he has a good sense of humour so that actually made me relax and I managed to get along with them well. After we had our food,Eddy and I decided to marinate the chicken wings. His mother helped to prepare the spices which is to be used to marinate the chicken wings. After that I marinated the chicken wings and then I put them in the fridge and left for 2 hours plus. (HAHA okay I know this sounded like a recipe book!!LOL)

Later on we cooked the chicken wings, it was kinda funny because we used the fry and shield method. The oils were bursting out from the frying pan, so my sweetheart and I did something to overcome that. Everytime, I had put in the chicken wings, he would quickly cover the frying pan with a shield so that our hands would not get burned by the oil. Okay it sounds kinda confusing I guess but it certainly made it better...hehe. In between, while waiting for the chicken to be cooked well, we watched Lost and then rotated ourselves to check the chicken whether its already cooked or not.

Around eight we met Iqbal and then later on we fetched Faiqhka from work. We are heading to east coast beach just to chill and enjoy ourselves and inconjunction to my belated birthday. It was very sweet of Faiqhka and Iqbal to prepare such delicious food and also bought the red wine[even tho I didnt try it,becoz I just dunno how to appreciate red wine yet :( ] And then they all bought Vodka with some coke and orange juice.

Later on at east coast Iza and her boyfriend, Rain together with Shirley joined us. They gave me a very sweet gift and a cute card. =) Thanks guys, I appreciated it.

So we all ate and drank and chat and had a real fun time together.

All in all, I guess it is nice to have these kinda outings once in a while as you get to gather and then just be happy and have no worries.

I am looking forward to more outings. :)
